Residential drying employs the top-down or vortex method. Using a
mechanized extractor we can remove 90+% of the water from carpet and
padding within the  hours on-site.  There is no need to tear up carpet and pad,
remove baseboard, put holes in drywall.

Residential Drying
These unfortunate folks were gone for a
weekend and came home to find that a toilet
line had leaked. You can see the footprints in
the water on the rug in the living room. Water
had run throughout several rooms.

Carpet and padding are manufactured with
synthetic materials and will not rot or mold
like in years gone by. There is no need to tear
anything out -- it will dry in place using the
right equipment technology has developed.
These ride-on electric extraction machines
will pull out over 90% of the standing water.
The water goes into a tank that can
automatically empty outside the residence.
When finished the carpet is no more wet
than when it is cleaned.
We place a commercial
dehumidifier and some air movers
(fans) to complete the drying
process. The dehumidifier produces
dessert-like air -- about 100 degrees
and 20% Relative Humidity. The hot,
dry air literally sucks the moisture
out of the drywall, baseboards, and
the carpet and padding are dried as
a by-product of getting the walls dry.

Because the Relative Humidity
drops so quickly the possibility of
mold growth starting is avoided.

And, as you can see there is no
damage to repair after the carpet is
cleaned and deodorized about 3 to 5
days after we get started.
